Mersrags (Latvian Mērsrags.) – Locality in Latvia, on the west coast of the Gulf of Riga, the center of Mersrags region. The village crosses the road P131 Tukums – Colca. Mersrags Port specializes in the export of timber.
The name of the village gave, located in the northern part of Mersrags promontory jutting out into the sea more than any other Cape coast of the Gulf of Riga.
Not far from Mersrags it is one of the biggest lakes in Latvia – Engure. Mērsrags is located in the nature park of Lake Engure, famous places for bird watching in the trostnikoi overgrown coastal meadows, Mersrags Cape and Cape Pekrags, and closed (2014) the territory of the lagoon to the south of the port. A settlement also extends Mersrags channel from the lake in the Gulf of Riga.
