Not far from the castle Cervena Lhota is a city with a completely unpronounceable name – Jindrichuv Hradec. In this city, there is a lock, by the way, the third largest in the Czech Republic.
The town is very nice, clean, tidy house, a beautiful pond, landscapes, and of the castle itself, of course, is worthy of attention.
The history of the castle started in the 12th century, when the eldest son Vitek I, Jindrich, set on the banks of cool shore watchtower to protect him by the possessions of his father, and then rubbed her Gothic castle, which made the seat of a kind, known as “Lords of Hradec “, for the next four centuries. Next to it there was a Czech castle and the town, already in 1220 mentioned in chronicles, first under the German name “Neuhaus” ( “new house”), and in the 15th century under its present name Jindrichuv Hradec.
