Thun – a medieval town with a touch of modernity, located in the eponymous lake in the picturesque valley between the mountains. The three major Swiss “giant” – Mönch, the Eiger and Jungfrau mountains, as well as closer – pyramidal Niesen (Niesen, 2362 m) and Shtokhorn (Stockhorn, 2190 m) with a flat top create a unique panorama around. And the main decoration of the city is the castle, proudly seated on a rocky outcrop in the center of the old town.
