Robertsfors – administrative-territorial unit of local government, located in northern Sweden on the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia.
The history of the Gulf of Bothnia is closely linked with the history of its two coastal states. For more than six years (until 1809) and Sweden were united empire, these countries still svyazyvet common cultural heritage. This fact opens up prospects for the joint development of the region around the Gulf of Bothnia. Foremost in the plans for the development of the arc belongs to the Gulf of Bothnia, which forms the northern limb of the marginal sea.
Bothnia arc performs a mediating role at the crossroads of the regions of the two seas – the Baltic and Barents – and serves as an important transportation corridor. Region Gulf of Bothnia is well positioned to become an international economic space and motor development in northern Europe.
