Norrkoping – a city in Sweden, a major industrial center 170 kilometers south of Stockholm.
The city lies on the river Motala (Motala ström), not far from its confluence with the Baltic Sea.
Population – 83,561 resident, together with suburbs – 128,060 inhabitants (2009 census). It is the seventh most populous city in Sweden.
In the XIX century Norrköping was one of the most important centers of the Swedish textile industry, the second largest industrial city in the country. All the industrial center of the city, containing the building of factories and warehouses located along the Motala River and the dam on the river, completely renovated and handed over to several museums.
