Ryazan Prospect – Prospect South-East administrative district of Moscow, a length of slightly more than 7 km. One of the main radial Moscow highways.
Formed in 1964 from the street Karacharovo (named after the former village Karacharovo) and the Ryazan highway. In the name of the road to keep the old name of the ancient city of Ryazan.
It starts from the Small ring MZ, continuing Nizhny Novgorod street, and ends at the Moscow Ring Road, passing in Lermontov Avenue. It passes through the district of Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan and Vyhino (part of the Vykhino-Zhulebino). In its composition has Karacharovsky overpass.
In XVII-XVIII centuries. in the area of modern Ryazan Avenue were fiefdoms Sheremetevs, Golitsyn, Razumovsky. In the XIX century. any industrial enterprises and workers’ settlements.
In the postwar years in the region of Ryazan highway in place suburban villages were residential areas: Karacharovo, Ivy, Vyazovka, Moscow, New Kuzminki, Vykhino, Veshnyaki-Vladychino. Before the construction of the Ring Road and expand the boundaries of Moscow Ryazan highway belonged to Ukhtomsky district of the Moscow region (the center – the city of Lyubertsy).
