Peasant Zastava Square – Square in the center of Moscow in the Collegiate Chamber shaft. Situated in Tagansky and Yuzhnoportovaya areas between Vorontsov, Abelmanovskaya, 1st Dubrovskaya streets, Volgograd prospectus and 3rd Krutitsa lane.
In the square there is a metro “Peasant Zastava” station and “proletarian.”
Renamed in 1919, “in honor of the Soviet peasantry.” Before that – the area of the Spassky Gate. Zastava was a customs station Collegiate Chamber shaft. The name of the Savior was given outpost near Novospassky Monastery.
