Sokolniki – Park, located in the district of Sokolniki in the north-east of Moscow. In XVI-XVII centuries passed and the grand royal falconry on the site of today’s park, where the place got its name. At the Festival Square is located new rink “Ice” with artificial ice, on the facade of which has a giant screen.
The area of the rink, “Ice” is 5400 square meters. In addition, in the territory of the rink there is an additional pavilion rental with stands of 620 square meters.
The area in front of the exhibition center is named in honor of the Festival International Festival of Youth and Students (1957). Actually in Sokolniki Exhibition activity began in 1959, when there took place the American national exhibition “Industrial US products,” which became the first international event, demonstrating achievement of the West in the Soviet Union. Pavilions have been used for other thematic exhibitions.
