Himeji – central city in Japan, located on the southwest coast of the island of Honshu on the Inland Sea in Hyogo Prefecture Kinki region.
Himeji Castle – Castle egret – one of the oldest surviving Japanese castles, and the most popular among tourists. In 1993, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Just a castle complex includes 83 buildings, almost all of them built of wood. At the foot of the castle stretches eponymous city.
