Bernese Alps – mountains of the Western Alps in Switzerland (mainly the canton of Bern, as well as the cantons of Vaud, Fribourg, Valais, Lucerne, Uri, Nidwalden).

Bernese Alps are separated from the Valais Alps (south), the valley of the river Rhone, from the Lepontine Alps (south-east) – the valley of the river Rhône and passes Furka and Gotthard, from the Glarus Alps (to the east) – Valley Rёys River (Royce) northern boundary runs approximately along the line between Geneva and Lucerne (Luzern) lakes.

Grimsel or Grimzelpas (Grimselpass) – mountain pass (pass) in the Bernese Alps, on the border of the Swiss cantons of Bern and Valais; It connects the valley with Obervale Oberhasli.
