Bergen is the second largest city of Norway, capital of a County (fylke) of Hordaland and the largest city in Western Norway. Located on the West of the country along the North sea coast in the region of Motherland. Is the Bergen Peninsula, protected from the sea by the Islands Askøy, Hasna and Sutra.
In the heart of Bergen is a quiet lake Lille-Lungegardsvann (Lille Lungegårdsvann). On its Western shore you’ll Festplassen (Festplassen — the square on which organised local celebrations. From Festplassen begins Boulevard Ola-Bullsplass (Ole Bulls Plass), which goes to the National theatre (Den Nationale Scene). In a northerly direction from Festplassen is the infamous Fish market (Fisketorget). The famous art galleries of Bergen are located on the southern shore of the lake.
