Strakonice Castle (Hrad Strakonice) – medieval castle of the XIII century in the town of Strakonice Southern Bohemia, one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. The castle is located on a hill at the confluence of the rivers Otava and Volinka. During the extended period of the castle served as the residence of the Grand Prior of the Order of Knights of St. John in the Czech Republic.
Castle since its foundation was reconstructed several times, because of what has kept the features of different architectural styles, ranging from Romanesque. In 1995, it included in the list of national cultural monuments of the Czech Republic.
