perhaps the main reason why tourists come to Odense is a romantic atmosphere of the city where was born the most famous storyteller in the world — Hans Christian Andersen. Here he spent his childhood, here he began his life’s journey, I must say, is very difficult.
Worth a stroll in the Park named after Andersen’s, where his monument, a river Clothe with a cute island and “paper” boat (was really an iron). Another Anderson place is on the street of Munkemøllestræde, 3-5. This is where the writer spent his childhood.
Even on the streets of Odense are scattered around the 18 sculptures on the theme of Andersen’s fairy tales, especially good eyed dog from “Flint”, which has eyes the size of a Round tower”.
