Piccadilly Circus – a major transport hub, and public place in the western part of London to Westminster, built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with the biggest shopping street of Piccadilly. In this case, the word “circus”, derived from the Latin word meaning “circle”, involves a round open space at the intersection of several streets. Today the area is directly linked to the theaters on Shaftesbury Avenue, Haymarket, Coventry Street , Leicester Square and Glasshouse Street .
Piccadilly Circus is close to major shopping and entertainment street in the heart of the western part of the city. The status of a large shopping center has attracted many tourists Piccadilly Square and the city’s residents.
