Birkirkara (adopted also a reduced writing of B’kara is a city in Malta. The population is about 25,000 people.
In the city there are 4 Autonomous parishes: St Helen, St Joseph, our lady of mount Carmel and St Mary. Here is one of the best colleges of Malta, St. Aloysius College.
Among the attractions there are it should be noted the Old railway station (railroad was built in 1931), which is currently transformed into a public Park. Despite the fact that Birkirkara becoming the commercial centre of Malta, it retains the charm of the architecture and life of the residential sector.
The town also has its own football club en:Birkirkara FC was founded in 1950.
